Additional tidbits
Things I forgot to mention:
I will not miss the smoke! There were way too many smokers in Rome, Lucerne, and Paris. It must
be fashionable or something, but they love to walk down the streets with cigarettes dangling from their mouths!
I will not miss espresso. I hate that little Barbie cup and black "ink" they drink!
I will not miss paying to use the restroom. Whatever! 50 cents everytime.
Robert says the Parisiens are hypochondriacs. There's a pharmacy on every corner. He says people measure how good a doctor is by how many prescriptions he/she gives. The more, the better. Wait until Leslie hears/reads this. She is so reluctant to write out scripts!!LOL

Fri. nite-April 2
Tonite we spend our last night with these wonderful new- found friends, thanks to the Trafalgar tour.
"Robert took us to Chez Jenny, a delightful French restaurant, in the Republic district. Everyone spent the first 1/2 hour taking pictures. Some we will see again in the a.m. before we part, some not. Most
of the 42 are going on to at least another week of travel to Scotland, Ireland, England, Spain. A few of us our headed back to our homes for Easter. Tonite, some of the group went on to see the Moulin Rouge production. We dropped them off after a delightful dinner of salmon, mashed potatoes, veggies, french onion soup, french bread, creme brule and way too much french wine from Alsace!
It was so hard to say goodbye to some of these people. We were just starting to get to know them
better. Another week would have been fine; but again, it would be even harder to part. I especially found it hard to leave Jeffrey and Cristen, the sweet Chinese couple. She promises to add me as her facebook friend; and Johann and Carolina, a friendly couple from South Africa; also Dale and Bob from Toronto. Bob has business in Pittsburgh next week and we may get together with him. It is possible to see those from the states again: Don and Marty from Ft. Lauderdale,maybe. We've gone there the last 3 years!
I have learned so much about Australia from these people. I want to read about it more and watch the movie again. Though I may never see these people again, I will still have fond memories of them the rest of my life. This has been a wonderful experience!
I hope all of you have enjoyed the blog these past two weeks and I am looking forward to seeing you again. I will include a link for a picture album later next week. Til then...

Left snow Switzerland at 7:30. On the way to Paris, the last stop of this tour. It was snowing in
Lucerne . Robert
took down everyone's e-mail and he is giving us all a copy so we can stay in touch. Nice gesture! There are 42 people on this tour.
Robert just gave the history of wine in the area, since we are coming upon miles of vineyards. "Bourdeaux, Savignon, Burgundy, and Chardonnay---My wine of choice!!!

This a.m. in Lucerne we visited the famed Lion Monument which was dedicated to the Swiss guard who lost their lives in battle. Then on to the Old Bridge that crosses Lake Lucerne.
The scenery is beautiful. It is sunny, but chilly; around 45. It is very expensive here. Robert says their economy is booming, because they are an independent, neutral state with many investors in their banks from all over. So everything is very expensive and they have not converted to Euros, but still use francs. If you give them Euros they give you francs in change.
Visited all the famous watch stores: Rolex, Omega, Tag Heuer. That's about all I did was visit!!! Watches ranged from $5500.-32,000. Tonite is another dinner at this hotel, then off to Paris Thurs and Friday.
